What airport should I base my aircraft?

This is a question that should be carefully considered due to a few factors, but not limited to the following: size of runways, nearby for your conveience, access to 24 hour services, hangar space availability, fuel costs, local property tax rates, etc...

Does your aviation operation require you to build or lease private hangar space?

We generally have access to leased space in several local airports in Central Texas. KAUS, KEDC, KHYI, KBAZ & KSAT

Where do you find workspace for your aviation department?

This is completely dependent upon your needs and the amount of workspace needed.

Can my organization operate a business out of our hangar?

If it is not aviation related, most lease contracts forbid operating other outside businesses in your leased space.

Who manages the airport?

Most airports are either managed by the city or country or parish where they are located. Oftentimes, they are subcontracted out to management companies that administer the airport on behalf of the government entity.

Can I build my own hanger at the airport where my aircraft will be stored?

This is completely dependent on land availability and the willingness to move through the project with the government entity carefully watching your progress. These builds often lead to 20, 30 or even a 50 year land lease where the hanger will revert to the government entity at the end of the land lease.
